Day 31: Chicago, Illinois

First day (or really evening) in Chicago was spent in the Contemporary Art Museum, which was managed to scrape in for the last free hour before it closed. Full of great photographs, most of which excited Becky as they tied into something or other she’d covered in her art courses at UBC.

The Chicago deep pan pizza. These things are truly scary. I don’t believe I’ve ever eaten so much mozzarella in a meal before. The things are well over an inch deep, with two thick, gooey layers of cheese sandwiching the “topping”, all covered with a thick, tomato pizza sauce on top. Less of a pizza, more of a bloody great pie. With so much cheese. It did taste great, though I’m not sure I could stomach another one soon….
