Looking down on Vancouver

The observation deck, a top one of Vancouver’s highest buildings isn’t really that high, being only a small fraction of the size of the CN Tower or the Petronas Towers. The fact that there’s a hotel in Vancouver that’s higher than the observation tower just meant they stuck a big pole on the very top to claim back the title. Whatever.

Here are some photos of Vancouver taken from it:

A (not actually that old) church dwarfed by a very Vancouver glass high-rise.

Stanley Park, The Lions Gate Bridge, North Van., and the snow capped “Lions”.

Downtown

The docks and some long trains.

Yaletown and the Vancouver Eastside.

The observation deck, viewed from a lovely back alley (complete with bearded men “dumpster diving”).
