I have spent the last week playing dentist, donning rubber gloves, scrubs and a face mask to run amok in the clinic. No patients to poke with surgical instruments unfortunately; I had to do hours and hours of mundane work, mainly obtaining water samples and flushing through toxic chemicals. Instead of the nice, relaxing final week at work I expected, I’ve ended up doing stupid amounts of overtime. But still, there was enjoyment to be had with an evil grin and the smack of stretching latex….
Becky’s parents arrived late last night, having spent 3 hours stuck at Heathrow sitting on a plane waiting to take off (some other plane had decided to break down on the runway they were about to use), so I’m off to meet them in a bit.
